The European Youth Polls are opinion surveys aimed at young Europeans on current topics. They bring out the voice of the European youth and offer an interesting insight into the opinions of young Europeans.

Some questions and answers about the European Youth Polls
Why do we take the European Youth Polls?
Young people are often regarded as not interested in politics today. We don’t think this is true. In our organisation alone, we are thousands of young people who want to take an active role in our societies. However, the young people’s voice is often not heard. In the European Youth Polls, we can have our say, and make our views known to the media and to political leaders.
Who can take part?
Every young person in Europe, between 16 and 27 years.
Who gets to decide what to ask?
Before taking a Poll, we ask everybody related to the project for topic suggestions. The final decision is taken by the EYP International Office. In order to keep the Polls short and concise, every Poll will deal with one specific topic.
Additionally, some general questions on European integration will be asked every time in order to analyse trends.
What happens with the results?
The EYP distributes the results to the press. This is done by specially trained volunteers in most European countries and the International Office. Additionally, the results are sent to political leaders and institutions in Europe.
What do the results mean?
The European Youth Polls are intended to voice the opinion of young people who are interested in politics and the future of their societies. The aim is not necessarily to be exactly representative of all young people in Europe, but to give those who are actively working for a better future a chance to make their views public.
