Young Europeans speak out against stricter control of Internet
The recent Europe-wide protests against ACTA hit European politicians by surprise. While they treat the treaty as a technical issue, young people regard it as a vital political issue. The results of the latest European Youth Poll clearly show this divide between the opinions of young people and politicians: Over 70% of the participants voiced their discontent with stricter enforcement of copyright laws on the Internet – thus speaking out against one of the main goals of the ACTA treaty.
